The Canadian pacer — after rewriting the harness racing record book and thrilling fans across North America during a blazing two-year career — was inducted into Canada’s Horse Racing Hall of Fame last night at a special ceremony in Mississauga.

The incomparable Somebeachsomewhere headlined a group of eight inductees into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame as part of the induction ceremony that took place Thursday night at the Mississaga Convention Centre in Mississauga, Ont.

The reigning Horse of the Year Somebeachsomewhere has completed his first season in the stud at Hanover Shoe Farms and served a book of 160 mares, the limit introduced by the U.S. Trotting Association starting in 2009. There was never any question that he would receive a royal harem, but I thought that readers might like to know what individual mares were bred to him…

Hambo Society Announces Board Appointments | Standardbred Canada.

Anthony Perretti, proprietor of Perretti Farms, the largest commercial breeding farm in New Jersey, and Seth Rosenfeld, a second generation breeder and owner were named to the Board of Directors of the Hambletonian Society at its annual meeting on August 7.
