The Tattersalls Pace Lis Mara for three year old pacing harness horses in 2008 went for a purse of $293,000 at the Red Mile in Kentucky on October 4th, 2008 and the seven horse field lined up with heavily favored Somebeachsomewhere starting from post 3… driver Paul Macdonell elected to ease off the gate into a 4 hole tuck as some early speed sorted itself out, but before the quarter was reached in 26.3, Somebeachsomewhere was out and going, with a flashy burst of speed to brush to the lead and take command easily to the half in 53.4…. the big horse was all on cruise from then on with a 3/4 clocking of 1:21.2 and a final quarter of 26.2 for a three and a half length victory in a final mile time of 1:47.4.
